State Attorney General Scott Pruitt's asking a federal judge to lift a stay on Oklahoma's health care lawsuit, to allow the state time to address the U.S. Supreme Court's ruling on federal healthcare reform.
The Oklahoma lawsuit was filed in January. A federal judge stayed the case while the U.S. Supreme Court decided a lawsuit filed by 26 other states. In June, the U.S. Supreme Court upheld the federal health care reform act.
Pruitt has said the lawsuit is not about health care, but rather the federal government going beyond its Constitutional limits in requiring people to buy health insurance.
