Outtakes, covers, and previously unreleased live songs comprise the latest Rod Stewart release.
Rarities features material recorded in the late '60s and early '70s, spanning his first five solo albums. The two-disc, 24-track collection boasts early versions of such classics as "Maggie May" and "You Wear It Well," as well as alternate takes of "I'd Rather Go Blind," "Angel," and "(You Make Me Feel Like ) A Natural Man."
The set also features Rod's rendition of The Who's "Pinball Wizard" and an alternate version of his Dylan cover "Girl From The North Country," along with the single release of "It's All Over Now."
Live versions of "Maggie May" and "Country Comfort," which Stewart performed with The Faces for BBC Radio One are part of the set as well.
