Verne Troyer is being treated for alcohol abuse at a California hospital and will be heading to rehab soon. “As you know, I’ve battled alcohol addiction in the past and while it’s not always been an easy fight, I’m willing to continue my fight day by day,” the actor confirmed via Instagram on Thursday. Troyer wrote that he’s been receiving treatment for the last week and will be voluntarily checking into a rehab center at the end of the week. He was hospitalized almost two weeks ago. “I want to thank everyone that’s reached out with their messages of support, it truly means the world to me,” he wrote, adding, “With your support, I got this.” Troyer has reportedly battled alcoholism for years and has been in rehab at least twice before. In 2002, he is said to have nearly died from alcohol poisoning.
