A Florida woman who lost control of her car and crashed into a concrete light post told authorities she panicked when a spider landed on her leg. A spokesman for Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue said the 27-year-old woman lost control of her Honda Civic before 9 a.m. on Tuesday and crashed into the concrete light pole, which was toppled by the impact. The woman said she had spotted a spider hanging from a web inside her car and lost control of the vehicle when it dropped down and landed on her legs. "Not itsy-bitsy," one deputy quipped in a tweet with photos of the crash scene. He said damage to the vehicle was severe, but that the woman suffered only minor scrapes and bruises to her legs and minor facial injuries from the deployed airbag. She was treated and released.
