Florence + The Machine Urge Fans to Vote During New York City Show

Florence Welch is a beacon of light. The way she sings, the way she dances, and the positive message she brings to her music radiate both on records and during concerts. On Tuesday night (October 9), Florence + The Machine visited Brooklyn's Barclays Center, and Welch dazzled (as she always does).

As Billboard reports, the singer used her platform to urge fans to vote in the upcoming midterm elections.

“Speaking of complicated times...my heart hurts on a daily basis,” she began. “Please, please, do not give up hope. The things you do will make a difference and it does matter. A revolution of consciousness starts in individuals and that’s you.” Welch then yelled for the audience to “turn to a stranger, hug them, and tell them to register to vote!”

Florence + The Machine head to Boston on Friday (October 12) and play up and down the east coast before wrapping up their North American tour in Minneapolis, Minnesota on October 20. They've been on the road since August supporting their latest album, High as Hope, and Welch continues to spread her hopeful attitude and positivity during her live shows. It's a sentiment this world could use more of these days.
